Yesterday, I waited until it was warmer in the afternoon to do some yard work. That time of day is reserved for painting and it felt like a loss until I went outside….It was a perfect 60 degrees to work in and the fresh air immediately gave me a great sense of peace. Viewing shorelines such as in “Quiet Cove” with the waves and wildlife is also calming.
Quiet Cove has a static composition, meaning shapes are arranged as horizontal or vertical bands versus diagonals. Static is restful. The predominance of blue is also peaceful. The uneven lull between the waves is just enough to keep it interesting.
