Shapes and Volume
We are had so much fun at my Henning, MN Workshop. After focusing on creating shapes, the class eagerly started drawing out their paintings using their new skills. This house is in Lexington, Kentucky where I saw more horse art than horses. There was even a horseshoe chandelier in our hotel. Hope to update you soon with the finished paintings.
White is the most reflective color and is exciting to vary in the shadows. Notice how the colored shadows bring out the shapes of the columns on the house. The colors were set next to each other to blend themselves. Later darks will be added to define details even more.
Sincerely,
