Painting of the Week

Painting of the Week – Plein Aire Painting

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Dear Friends,
Happy New Year!
A new start is always a blessing and we are almost to 2023. Wednesday, I painted with the Desert Plein Aire (on location) Painters. Even though the day started out at 54 degrees, it was nice. We had 2 1/2 hours to paint and am going to finish it my studio. I plan to work on my Plein Aire skills this year.

We met at Shields Date Garden in Indio, CA at 8:00 am. The Date Palms, shown in this painting, are beautiful and strong and are now my favorite type of Palm Trees. The Shields lovely restaurant was wonderful, and packed by the time we finished. Their large gift shop, www.Shieldsdategarden.com, even has my Mom’s favorite Date bars you can order by the slice. Apparently there are many types of Dates and they even make sugar from them.

Sincerely,
