Happy 4th of July!
It’s that wonderful time of the year when you have everything ready for friends to stop by, sit and enjoy the lake, see family and celebrate our country. It is amazing what “We the People” have accomplished in the past 2 centuries plus! I’m looking forward to some fried chicken, blueberry pie and all the wonderful things combined that bring to us together. A pontoon ride, sunshine and fireworks will make it even more special!
Today we finished my two-part workshop series: Watercolor 1 and Watercolor 2. Such great students were in class and told me they learned a lot. They must have enjoyed it too as half the class came an hour early every day. On top of this, I won 2 awards at the Pekin Art Fair: First in Acrylic for my piece “Inventory Pickup”. Then Second in Watercolor, I’m not sure which piece placed, either “Daisy Doodles” or “In the Beauty”. It was a fun way to finish the day!
Here are some paintings we started together in class! They are all pretty rough yet, I’ll show you later when I get them done.
