Hello Everyone,
I have wanted to do a post on Fargo for a while. The city of Fargo has been a major inspiration for many of my paintings. I find so much beauty here in the architecture and the sense of community. It may be cold here, but the warm people make up for the long winters. Within the community we have many wonderful local businesses and artists.
I thought of this painting because I saw online that the Fargo Film Festival is coming up March 4th – 8th. This is held at the Fargo Theatre which you can see in this painting, Broadway. The bright colors reflect the warm and bright community. I have a fun time painting images in Fargo and I love sharing them with everyone.
I am working on adding events to my website, but for now I have created an events calendar, just click here to view it! I am excited to be adding some workshops for 2014. I love teaching and I enjoy meeting new people and seeing familiar faces. I hope you will be able to join me at these workshops.
Also, if you are interested in learning more about the power of light values come to the Red River Watercolor Society meeting February 11th to watch me demonstrate. Everyone is welcome to join and if you aren’t able to make it don’t worry, I will be posting a video of it online. This demonstration will lead into one I am doing on February 23rd in Hopkins, MN at the Festival of Artists.
