Some paintings you learn so much from. “Dusk in the Desert” is very textural. You will miss it unless you blow this painting up on your phone to see the texture. Started 2 years ago, this 66” x 66” painting has evolved from some bearded palm trees into Date Palms by the mountain.
I learned a great deal about mountains and palm trees, what I like and don’t like. Frankly I love the feeling and mood of this painting- even with its issues. Painting on this scale has dragged me from the very highs to lowest lows. It now can be enjoyed for itself.
