Bountiful Color Contrasts
This painting, Autumn Essentials, is about bounty. The leaves are just turning color and there is a healthy harvest of pumpkins. An orange pumpkin always fits in with this holiday. It will be a most unusual Thanksgiving for most of us. With Corona Virus raging in North Dakota, Paul and I have chosen to stay home together and Zoom our family. Whatever your plans, stay safe and we wish you the best!
In Autumn Essentials the top half leads you in a circular motion to the wheelbarrow and in a diagonal direction to the wheel barrow from the bottom. The wheelbarrow has the most vibrant color contrasting the complements (orange and blue) side by side, compounding it as the center of interest and showing the bountiful color contrasts.
