Magic of the Night – to be finished to premier at the Mission Hill Art Show

The Colors of Light

Palm Desert, California has large medians on El Paseo, many of which are sculpture gardens. Magic of the Night displays painted metal sculptures reflecting light, tree lights that turn brown tree trunks gold. Many different colored white lights, neon, and reflections on colored cars create a colorful foreground against a calm blue mountain at sunset. This painting, an unfinished color-fest, has been very fun for me so far.

The looseness of this piece accents the color. If it is too cleaned up, it loses its glow. This piece is not very realistic as I have the cars facing on the right. Pretend this scene is in Europe if you like.

Mission Hills Country Clubhouse for our 3^rd annual exhibit. 

There is quite a variety of artists and wonderful work to be seen. The show is at the Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA. Please use the gate on Dinah Shore and tell the gate attendant you are here for the show and drive straight in. Park in the guest parking lot on the left or valet. This is a quick 1-day event from 10am-3pm. See Map
