Palms in the Hall – Painting of the Week
Starting Over
This is my last mural for my California House. It was an amazing experience. Initially, it started with Egyptian Iconography. That became more complicated by a rug order that affected the palette. After injecting that color scheme into the existing design, everything went wacko. It became hopeless, so I started over with this exciting photo of the desert. It was so much fun. Perhaps that’s the key…having fun.
This new subject was a great solution. Paul liked it too and helped me improve it! The size of the piece required standing back- but I was working on ladders. A supportive second opinion was so great.
Sincerely,
