Suggestion Over Detail
What a delightful day for this couple walking down a street filled with blooming Jacaranda trees in Santa Monica, California. How fun to take your Daily Walk on such a Lavender Day.
In this painting, the distant view of the cars pull you deep into the painting. It’s nice to know where you going when there is so much to see. It was more effective to leave just a suggestion of the cars which gradually only became only blocks of muted color in the distance.
