Garden Breeze – Painting of the Week

Wouldn’t it be fun to live across the street from this bountiful flower garden? It is so nice when a Garden Breeze sends their fragrance your way. These Celosia, with their vivid colors, are blooming in this garden at NDSU which is beautifully maintained. Located just west of campus and on the north side of 12th Avenue North, it is a great place to check out what grows well in our area.
This design in this painting clearly breaks up the top and bottom into different sized proportions. Notice how the top is primarily Green with Red Accents and the bottom 2/3 is primarily red with green accents. Some reds are mixed into the greens and some greens are mixed into the reds to tone down and enrich the palette.
