Transmitted Light
Passageways can be so fascinating. The environment is always changing as we move along a path, often interrupted with a surprise. Light coming through the leaves enhances their color, casting beautiful shadows. On this walk Through the Woods, There were cardinals, a model bunny, and several deer as well as people running, biking or walking by.
Light is transmitted in the woods through the green and yellow leaves of the trees because of their transparency. Leaves in shadow, or at bottom of bushes, are the darkest greens. Facing upwards the leaves are more of a blue green. Backlit edges of trees appear lighter. Displaying these variations brings your greens to life.
Sincerely,
