Description
On a tour of Georgetown, I took many photos of beautiful architecture. I was inspired to paint this piece when I saw how the bricks turned from yellow orange in the sunlight to red orange in the shadows on the building. The white phlox gracefully overlap the beautiful white wood work and connect the foreground and middle ground.
