Cayman Beach

On our family vacation I was kept busy painting with my granddaughter.  The first day, we painted for 4 hours covering over 12 sheets of paper. She was in charge. I drew out shapes and she painted them naming the colors as she added them. This plein air view of Grand Cayman, painted quickly from the 2nd floor where we worked. She decided to quit early that day.  From above, the narrow line of the shadows under the trees interested me as well as the fact that the legs of the thatched gazebo disappeared into the bushes.

This piece comes matted to fit into a standard  16″ x 20″ frame.
