It was several years ago when Paul and I first visited Palm Springs, California. I wanted to paint the streets lined with palm trees in front of businesses, however my photographs of “El Paseo”, a primo shopping area in Palm Desert, didn’t support my vision. Then a narrow piece of paper gave me the idea to draw the street from a “worms eye view”. It wasn’t necessary to show the whole row of palm trees.
One of the great powers of art is the ability to add our interpretation to our imagery. It was exciting to discover I could paint just part of the palm trees and you would know they are there.
Painting is framed with a single 8ply matt with an electric Blue wood moulding.
