Paul’s grandmother lived in Elizabeth, MN. Often Irene would schedule family trips to visit Gram in the motor home. She stocked it with Hor’s D ‘Oeuvres, drinks and whatever we were adding to the menu. We always checked out the dam and sometimes picked apples. I finally painted “Ye Old Creamery” across the street adding some Hollyhocks growing nearby.
To show the age of this building, colored line was used to display the irregularities in the roof. The lines almost become shapes by changing their width and color. The diagonal blast of yellow against the shaded side of the roof seemed to bring the painting to life.
