Behind the piece: It was so beautiful in Medora. This beautiful Bison Bull stood up when I walked too close to take his picture. I slowly returned to my car and he sat down again. He had a small herd with him happily resting in the sun. I started this painting in Medora as part of my Artists Residency through The Capital Gallery West – a new seasonal gallery in Medora, ND.
