Daily Catch

The guys in this painting are frequently out fishing early in the morning near our lake cottage. I’m sure these avid fishermen are catching walleyes from several different parts of the lake as I have taken quite a few photos of them.  In fact, the day I finished “Daily Catch” I saw them casting their lines again while taking a hot tub and considered hollering “I painted you!”

This was quite a trick to figure out the water. Are the reflections from the dark trees or should it be light? The big thing that made it work was to bring out the orange so the sun rays complemented the blue green water.
