Behind the piece: Paul and I went to Italy with some friends, and we visited this beautiful countryside. We drove by many beautiful villas often high in the hills. Some looked like fortresses and others like compounds. It was like maybe the help had their own houses grouped around the master. With our 250th anniversary in July of 2026, we seem young especially compared to them. I admired these large trees, and the ascending Cypress which provided fence like protection, privacy, shade, and beauty for their villas.
