Painting of the Week

San Andreas I – Painting of the Week

Experience

Experience

I never thought I would want to see the San Adreas fault until family friends recommended it and read the 5-star reviews. It became a haunting curiosity but Paul and I finally bit the apple and invited friends to join us. First, we learned about the Indians seeing how they captured drinking water and ground the pods on strange plant with a rock that was their primary food source.  Our entertaining driver drove us around and led us between these rocks in San Andreas I to see their mysterious beauty. The dramatically angled stone is a key feature. It was fascinating. however, I have never been happier to get home.

Nothing affects both my knowledge and my emotions more than experience.  It is the toughest teacher, takes considerable time, can be extraordinarily exciting, yet is particularly offensive when we forget something and have to repeat the lesson. Experience is truly exciting when we see how to apply it in a new way; giving us moments of true enlightenment. In this way we are all self-taught. Thank God we have so many opportunities to learn from others; improving our experience and building our knowledge.

Sincerely,
