Pepper Pot by Ellen Jean Diederich
This original watercolor is floated on a redish mat with a off white upper matt in a white wood frame.
I was inspired by this colorful pale full of vegetable pieces at a market and wanted to paint it. In Pepper Pot all of the colorful vegetable pieces are overlapping. Overlapping shapes connect and it is one of the best ways to move the eye through the picture plane. The peppers in particular are fun to overlap because of their hook shaped stems are light green. It might be perfect for your kitchen?
