This is the time of year that the Farmer’s Markets open up. What a joy it is to have garden fresh vegetables. Pumpkins from the gourde family ripen towards the end of fall. What a fantastic shape they are and in so many varieties. I look forward to having a homegrown tomato in a BLT sandwich!
When choosing a palette for a painting, it is powerful and helpful to choose temperature dominance. That would be warm like the sun (yellows, reds, and oranges) or cool like the sea (blues, greens and violets). These colors are next to each other on a color wheel and enhance each other. Did you guess that Organic Accents is warm dominant? Note opposite cool temperatures in this piece (the blue shadows) are not dominant simply because of the proportion of warm and cool.
