I have an interest in Shelter Belts. This landscape is just north of Hawley, Minnesota. As the shelter belts recede they become bluer and lighter. When they are closer they become warmer and greener. The shapes are what break up these large fields of soy beans which have reddened for harvest. This piece is framed, with an attractive but simple burl frame with a slight burgundy tone.
This painting recently won a Merit Award at the Hawley Art Show.
