Fargo Scene began as a prestigious, large-scale commission for the boardroom of the newly remodeled Eide Bailly LLP office. This acrylic masterpiece traveled from California to my Fargo studio, eventually finding its home as a centerpiece of local commerce. Now, it is available as a high-quality Giclée reproduction.
The heart of this painting is the iconic Fargo Bell Tower, a building that formerly housed their business and has served as an attractive backdrop for many of my works. Because Fargo is a city where “change is constant,” several building exteriors actually changed during the creation of the original piece. This makes “Fargo Scene” more than just a painting, it is a historical documentation of our city’s evolving architecture.
This acrylic painting was painted on top of a grid using the color palette chosen by designer Kim Manuel. It’s amazing the nostalgia created and what you can learn about Fargo and about the people while reminiscing about a local cityscape.
